Q1: What makes AOOHEALTH matcha "ceremonial grade"?
Our ceremonial grade is defined by three pillars: 1) Source: We use only the youngest, shade-grown tencha leaves from a single, pristine tea garden in China. 2) Process: The leaves are destemmed and stone-ground into an ultra-fine powder. 3) Purpose: It is crafted specifically for drinking with water, resulting in a vibrant color, smooth umami flavor, and no bitterness.

Q2: Is your matcha from China different from Japanese matcha?
While Uji, Japan is famous, exceptional ceremonial-grade matcha is about agriculture and craft, not just geography. Our partner garden employs time-honored shading and processing techniques. The result is a matcha that stands proudly on its own with a vibrant jade hue, deep umami, and a clean finish—a quality we verified after sampling over 30 options.

Q3: Why is your matcha so vibrantly green?
The intense jade color is a direct indicator of high quality. It comes from the high chlorophyll and amino acid (L-Theanine) content developed through careful shading of the tea plants. Our stone-grinding process preserves this delicate color and nutrients.

Q4: What's the difference between your 30g, 100g, and 500g matcha?
Only the quantity differs. We uphold one single standard. Whether you buy our 30g tin or 500g bag, you receive the exact same single-origin, ceremonial-grade leaf. This ensures your experience is consistently excellent, no matter the size you choose.

PREPARATION & STORAGE

Q5: What do I need to prepare traditional matcha?
At a minimum, you need our matcha, hot water (70-80°C), and a small bowl. For the authentic frothy texture, we highly recommend a bamboo whisk (chasen). You may also enjoy a bamboo scoop and a fine sifter for a clump-free experience.

Q6: Can I use your ceremonial matcha for lattes and baking?
Absolutely. While crafted for traditional preparation, its smooth, rich flavor makes it superior for lattes, smoothies, and desserts. Using ceremonial grade means your recipes will have a beautiful color and a complex flavor without bitterness.

Q7: How should I store my matcha to keep it fresh?
Freshness is key! Please store your matcha in a cool, dark, and dry place, tightly sealed. For long-term freshness after opening, we recommend storing it in the refrigerator. Always let the container reach room temperature before opening to prevent condensation.

Q8: What currency are your prices in? Can I pay in my local currency?
A: All prices on our site are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD), which is our store's default currency. For international customers outside of Australia, if you use PayPal at checkout, it will automatically convert the AUD total into your local currency (e.g., New Zealand Dollars/NZD, US Dollars/USD, etc.) based on the real-time exchange rate. You will see the final amount in your currency and complete the payment on PayPal's secure page.

Q9: Will you show prices in my local currency on the website in the future?
A: Providing a fully localized shopping experience is important to us. While our current platform has limitations on displaying multiple currencies directly on product pages, we are actively working on a solution and plan to introduce this feature as we expand into new markets. Thank you for your patience and support as we grow.

Q10: Where do you ship from, and how long does delivery take?
We proudly ship worldwide from our facility in China. Standard international shipping typically takes 7-20 business days, depending on the destination. You will receive a tracking link as soon as your order is dispatched.

Q11: What is your shipping cost?
We offer FREE standard shipping on all orders over $99 USD to most countries. For orders below this amount, a flat-rate shipping fee applies at checkout. Please see our full Shipping Policy for detailed rates by region.

Q12: What is your return policy?
Due to the nature of food products, we can only accept returns for unopened items within 14 days of delivery. However, your satisfaction is guaranteed. If you are unsatisfied with the quality of your matcha, please contact us within 30 days of receipt with your feedback, and we will happily resolve the issue. Please see our full Refund Policy.
